Date Sweetened Brownies (paleo + vegan)

fluffy, fudgy, rich brownies, sweetened w just dates and melty choc chips

just 10 simple ingredients and 15 mins of active time total! trust me theyre super worth the minimum effort:)

date sweetened treats taste amazing and make ya feel good too


yields: 12 brownies

prep time: 10 min

cook time: 30 min

total time (including cooling): 55 min


1 flax egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water, mix, and let sit for 5 min)

1/2 cup non dairy milk

1/3 cup cacao date butter (i used @nunature_superfoods -link in bio, use code KAYLEE10 for 10% off- or make your own by blending abt 5 soaked and drained dates until smooth)

1/4 cup nut or seed butter

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup almond flour

1/3 cup cacao/cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2/3 cup chocolate chips (helps w sweetness so not optional:))


*preheat oven to 350 F and line or grease an 8x8 baking tin

*in a medium bowl mix together the flax egg, non dairy milk, cacao date butter, nut or seed butter, and vanilla

*add in the almond flour, cacao powder, baking soda, and salt. then add in the chocolate chips

*pour the mixture evenly into the tin, top with more choc chips, bake in the oven for 27-31 min, let cool for 15, slice, and enjoy!
