Healthier Slutty Brownies (vegan + gf)

warm n fudgy brownies topped w a soft choc chip cookie layer and anotha heavenly layer of gf oreos


as far as party treats go i think it’s safe to say that slutty brownies are the most epic of them all (i mean it’s 3 amazing desserts in 1) and these ones are vegan, gf, and made with a few more nourishing ingredients:)


these pics don’t do them nearly enough justice but TRUST when i say these are nothin short of spectacular


go ahead and make em, you know u want toooo




THE RECIPE:

yields: abt 12 brownies

prep time: 15 min

cook time: 27 min

total time (including cooling): 1 hr 7 min

ingredients

for the brownie layer-

1 flax egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water, mix, and let sit for 5 min)

3 tbsp melted coconut oil

1/2 cup coconut sugar

6 tbsp nut or seed butter

1/4 cup non dairy milk

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup almond flour

1/3 cup cacao/cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips

for the cookie layer-

1 flax egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water, mix, and let sit for 5 min)

2 tbsp nut or seed butter

1/4 cup coconut sugar

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup almond flour

3 tbsp coconut flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/3-1/2 cup chocolate chips

for the oreo layer-

12 gluten free oreos (yes they’re now a thing and they’re vegan too;))

instructions

*preheat oven to 350 F and line or grease a 9x9 baking tin, set aside

*for the brownie layer- in a large bowl mix together the flax egg, coconut oil, coconut sugar, nut or seed butter, non dairy milk, and vanilla. then add in the almond flour, cacao power, baking soda, and salt. stir in the chocolate chips and evenly spread the mixture into the pan, set aside

*for the cookie layer- in a medium bowl mix together the flax egg, nut or seed butter, coconut sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla. add in the almond flour, coconut flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. add in the chocolate chips and spread the cookie dough evenly on top of the brownie batter

*for the oreo layer- place the 12 oreos evenly across the pan (doing rows of 3 with 4 oreos in each), bake in the oven for 27-29 min, let cool for 25, and enjoy!
