soft, cinnamony apples covered in a crisp, buttery crumble
the perfect thanksgiving treat if u want homemade apple pie but dont want to be in the kitchen making it for 3 hours:)
extremely tasty, simple, and topped w some creamy vegan ice cream it just cant be beat
THE RECIPE:
yields: 8-10 servings
prep time: 15 min
cook time: 30 min
total time (including cooling): 1 hour 5 min
ingredients
for the crumble-
1/4 cup coconut oil (room temp, if kinda melted put in fridge for 10 min)
1/4 cup nut or seed butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup oat flour (1 cup blended gf oats)
1 cup gf oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
for the inside-
1 large apple (cored and chopped)
1 tbsp maple syrup
a sprinkle of cinnamon
instructions
*preheat oven to 350 F and grease a loaf pan
*for the crumble- in a medium bowl mix together the coconut oil, nut or seed butter, maple syrup, and vanilla. add in the oat flour, oats, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. press half of the crumble into the bottom of the loaf pan and set aside
*for the inside- mix together the chopped apples, maple syrup, and cinnamon. place evenly on top of the bottom crumble layer
*sprinkle the other half of the crumble mixture over the apple layer, bake in the oven for 30 min, let cool for 20, slice, and enjoy! top with ice cream bc its def desired;) (i used @coconutbliss use this link: Coconut Bliss Affiliate Link with (CODE- KAYSNUTTYKITCHEN) to save $$)
