seriously these bars are just far too easy and far too insanely delicious, rich, and chocolate-filled to pass by
they’re also allergy friendly, they have like 8 simple ingredients, and they use minimal amounts of those ingredients so it won’t hurt your soul to pour them into a bowl;)
THE RECIPE:
yields: 9-12 bars
prep time: 10 min
total time (including cooling): 25 min
ingredients:
for the bars-
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1/3 cup tahini (can sub other nut or seed butter)
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup coconut flour
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup chocolate chips
for the topping-
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 tbsp coconut oil
instructions:
*line a 9x9 baking tin (can use a loaf pan if you want thicker bars, freeze times may vary)
*for the bars- in a medium/large bowl mix together the coconut oil, maple syrup, coconut sugar, tahini, and vanilla.
*mix in the coconut flour and salt. then add in the chocolate chips and spread the dough evenly into the baking tin, set aside.
*for the topping- melt the choc chips and coconut oil together in the microwave (in 30 increments, mixing in between) until smooth then pour evenly over the bars and freeze for 15-20 min.
*remove bars from freezer, slice, top with a pinch of sea salt, and enjoy! (best kept in fridge:))
