the perfect simple + adorable treat for easter

even if they crack coming out of the mold, it just looks like an egg hatching:) 🐣

THE RECIPE:
yields 8 chicks
prep time: 10 min
freeze time: 1 hour
total time (including cooling): 1 hr 10 min
ingredients
for the coating-
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp coconut oil
for the cookie dough-
1/4 cup almond flour
1 tbsp coconut flour
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 1/2 tbsp nut or seed butter
a dash of vanilla
2-3 tbsp chocolate chips
instructions
1. For the coating- melt together the chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 30 second increments, mixing in between, until smooth. Get out your silicon mold, and using a spoon, drizzle abt 1/2 tbsp of melted chocolate into each mold, using the back of a spoon to spread the chocolate to cover all corners of the mold (you should only use abt half of the melted chocolate for this), and place in the freezer to set
2. For the cookie dough- in a small bowl, mix together all of the ingredients for the cookie dough. Remove the coated mold from the freezer and press the cookie dough evenly into each mold.
3. Spread the rest of the chocolate over top of each cookie dough mold, freeze until set (about 1-2 hours), and enjoy!
