Coffee Chocolate Protein Bars (vegan, gluten free, nut free, + no bake)

nothin better than energy AND protein in a pre workout snack



i used a blend from chamberlain coffee that has undertones of apple pie and hazelnut so the flavor is just perfect



THE RECIPE:

yields 6 bars

prep time: 15 min

cool time: 25 min

ingredients

for the bars-

1/2 cup creamy nut or seed butter (warm up in the microwave for 30 sec if it’s a little harder)

2 tbsp maple syrup

1/4 cup brewed @chamberlaincoffee witty fox hazelnut blend

1 1/2 scoops protein powder

1/4 cup coconut flour

for the topping-

2/3 cup chocolate chips

2 tbsp coconut oil

instructions

*line a loaf pan with parchment paper, set aside

*for the bars- in a medium bowl mix together all the ingredients until they become a thick dough. press the mixture evenly into the lined loaf pan. put in the freezer for 10-15 mins or until firm

*for the topping- in the microwave in 30 second increments, mixing in between, melt together the chocolate chips and coconut oil until smooth

*take the bars out and slice them into 6. use a fork and dump each bar in the chocolate (tapping off the access) and place on a lined cookie sheet, freeze for another 10 minutes, and enjoy (best stored in fridge)
