The perfect solution for when you run out of almond flour
THE RECIPE:
yields 12 brownies
prep time: 10 min
cook time: 25 min
total time (including cooling): 50 min
ingredients
3/4 cup almond butter (can sub other nut or seed butter)
2 flax eggs (mix together 2 tbsp ground flaxseed + 6 tbsp water and let sit for 5-10 min)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup cacao/cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips
instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 F and line a 9x9 baking tin with parchment paper, set aside
2. In a large/medium bowl mix together the almond butter, flax eggs, maple syrup, coconut sugar, and vanilla. Stir in the cacao powder, baking powder, and salt. Then mix in the chocolate chips
3. Spread the batter into the pan and bake in the oven for 25-30 mins, let cool for 15 (or else they won’t set), slice, and enjoy!
