extremely fluffy and soft with a nice oaty flavor and delightful bunches of melted chocolate chips throughout
these are extremely simple and use only one type of flour to make! they also don’t require any nut or seed butter, maple syrup, or coconut flour like some of my other recipes
if you’re lookin for smth quick and easy to whip up that will satisfy your (possibly nut free) sweet tooth, you’ve come to the right place:))
THE RECIPE:
yields: abt 12 bars
prep time: 10 min
cook time: 24 min
total time (including cooling): 50 min
ingredients
1 flax egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water, mix, and let sit for 5 min)
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup apple sauce (room temp)
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups gf oat flour (2 cups blended gf oats)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips
instructions
*preheat oven to 350 F and line or grease a 9x9 baking tin, set aside
*in a large bowl mix together the flax egg, coconut oil, applesauce, coconut sugar, and vanilla
*then add in the oat flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. then stir in the chocolate chips
*pour the batter into the pan and bake in the oven for 24-25 min, let cool for 15, slice, and enjoy!
