a sweet crunchy cookie on the inside, covered with gooey cookie dough, and topped with rich hard chocolate<3
a literal jaw dropping treat that is incredibly easy to make
THE RECIPE:
yields 4-5 bites
prep time: 15 min
total time (including cooling): 45 min
ingredients
4-5 gluten free oreos
for the cookie dough-
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp nut/seed butter
dash of vanilla
large pinch of salt
2 tbsp coconut flour
3/4 cup + 1 tbsp almond flour
1/4 cup chocolate chips
for the chocolate coating-
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp coconut oil
instructions
*line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside a cooling rack for later
*for the cookie dough- mix together all the ingredients for the cookie dough. take about a fourth of the dough and form it into a ball around an oreo (it may take a second and be a lil sticky). repeat for all of the oreos then place them on the lined cookie sheet and put them in the freezer for 15 min while u melt the chocolate
*for the chocolate coating- melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in the microwave in 30 second increments, mixing in between, until smooth
*take the bites out of the freezer and off the parchment then place them onto the cooling rack (with the cookie sheet under to catch the chocolate.) one by one coat them in the melted chocolate, using a fork to tap off the excess, then place them back onto the cooling rack, put in the freezer for another 15 min, remove, and enjoy! (preferably stored in fridge)
